Fun atmosphere! Pickles are amazing! I had The Western and didn't need anything added! Burger was cooked perfect!

Super fun and rustic ambulance great view off the back deck of the ladder. Food was good not great but good kinda greasy bar food best way to explain it. I do have Hard alcohol and beer.

Twisted Root Burger Co. in San Angelo TX. Great food, great atmosphere, reasonable prices. Service is good as well. Help your self to a variety of pickles Very tasty burger and fries. Has inside as well as outside seating. Nice view of the Concho River from the patio seating This is one of our faves when we are in the area. Group and family friendly.

A few months back was passing through San Angelo and came across Twisted Root Burger They made such an impression on us that it's our Must stop on our way home to San Antonio Burgers are Great!!!! They even have a pickle station and we tried them all..... Our fav is the sweet and spicy I absolutely recommend

"EATING DINNER OUT" - Alone - My Wonderful Wife is still kind of down for a few more days, with a Doctors appointment on Tuesday morning. Neither of us felt like cooking up a storm and Soup did not sound that good to me due to us having Soup a few times, along with her Chili served many a different ways for the last couple of days (and that was Awesomelyliciousness) - So - she insisted I go out to eat at any place I wanted. She needs soft, easy-to-go-down type of food, so Soup for her is on the menu - again. I felt like a Burger and "Twisted Root Burger Company" came to mind. After that I will stop in at the store and do some grocery shopping. We both LOVE Twisted Root and have had several of their Burgers - and everyone of them is Absolutely the Best. I'm having a little early dinner and upon arriving at Twisted Root I found several people already here. They are well known and well supported in the San Angelo area. Since my Lovely Wife is not here I decided to enjoy her Most Favorite Burger - the "Lotsashroom"; Half Pound Patty, Fresh Buns from a Local Bakery, Toppings made in House, House Made Condiments & Custom Pickles (self-serve and as much as you want). Burger also has Swiss Cheese & Garlic Mushrooms with Lettuce, Tomatoes & a Slice of White Onion. Also ordered some French Fries and a drink. At Twisted Root instead of you giving your name, or having a number they call, they give you a Card with a Famous Name on it. Mine is "Johnny Carson". When your order is ready, they call out that name. Found a booth and waited for my name to be called, well, Johnny Carson's name. While I waited I enjoyed my drinks - Diet Coke. Soon they called out "Johnny Carson, your order is ready." Hey, that's me - and I did a 'golf swing'. Picked up my order, grabbed some of their Pickles, 'Bread & Butter' & 'Ranch' and returned to my booth - alone - I Miss My Baby. The Cardboard Container is filled with Goodies and that 'Lotsashroom' takes up most of the box. I added the Lettuce, Tomato, Onion and both types of Pickles to the Burger Patty and this thing really stands tall - It Looks So Beautiful I kind of got a little tear in my eye. My First Bite told me that this Burger Patty is served Really HOTTT off the Grill - and it's Very Tastylicious. The Garlic Mushrooms are really gooood - I'm now drooling with a little smoke coming out of my mouth, and I don't care - it's that good. I enjoyed every bite of this Shroomlyliciousness. They have the Best Pickles Around, no matter what kind you choose, and there are a lot of choices but the 'Bread & Butter' ones are my favorite. Love the Crunch. Their 'Ranch' pickles seem to have a little spicy-heat in them - love that. Love their French Fries. They are Freshly Cut and Fried - and also served HOTTT from the Kitchen. I ate everything - no leftovers here - and loved it all. The Twisted Root Burger Company has lots of choices on their Menu besides Burgers - it's All Good Stuff.

A bunch of us came down here for dinner. The place is definitely unique, and the prices are great. The burgers are big, and they do not skimp on the fries. My strawberry milkshake was delicious. I'm looking forward to coming back here again. Tries friends sweet potato chips, tasted a bit too much cinnamon or nutmeg, was the only thing I disliked. My burger, fries, and shake were delicious, though. You order when you go in, and then you're given a card with someone famous, and that's how they call you up for when your food is ready.

A must do when you are in San Angelo. Very laid back vibe burger and beer place with its own style. My daughter and I ordered two burgers one with fried pickles one with regular fries - it was delicious but a lot of food! And we each got a beer, yum! We could have shared one, but it was fun to try the Big Tex and the Western. The Big Tex was my favorite and the Western was my daughter's favorite. They give you a name when you order - old school names such as Aretha Franklin, Nicole Kidman, Queen Latifah, Audrey Hepburn then they call that name when your order is ready - a cute unique twist but maybe time to update some of those names as there were lots of 20 somethings in this restaurant. They give a military discount which we appreciate! One thing to improve: They were really stingy and annoyed when we asked the front counter for an extra ranch even though we ordered two burgers! Will go back here next time I'm in San Angelo.

Burger was outstanding. It is made out of Bison meat. A pickle counter is unique which I have not seen before at any location that I have been in the past. It has sweet and sour pickles, jalapeño flavored pickles and sweet pickles and regular burger pickles. I forgot the name of the burger I ordered. I recall it had goat cheese in it. There is no waiters you are given a name which they call you by when your meal is ready for you to pick up at the counter. They had several TV screens to watch sports and a bar is in the middle of the restaurant. This place is located by concho river walk. After you are done you can walk it off. They also have an outdoor patio overlooking the river. Wish I could have taken a pic. But it was cold outside at the time.
